AWWDIO terms of use

Last updated 23 October 2026

These terms

By using AWWDIO you agree to these terms. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement also applies. If you got it from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply.

Who provides the app

Web Studio Lab Limited, company no. 09110103, 71 to 75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ.

The app is free

Saving, transcripts, search, people, events, memories and export are free. If we add paid features later, we will set out their terms before you pay, and the free features listed here will stay free.

Your voices are yours

You own what you save and record. We do not get any rights over it, and it stays on your phone.

Be fair to the people in your voices

You are responsible for what you save, record and share. Only share someone's voice publicly if you are sure they would be happy with it.

Keep your own copy

Your voices live on your phone. If the phone is lost, broken or wiped and you have no backup, they can be lost too. Keep your phone backed up, or use Export everything in Settings to keep a copy somewhere safe.

Transcripts are not perfect

Speech recognition makes mistakes. Do not rely on a transcript where accuracy really matters.

Things you must not do

Do not use AWWDIO to break the law, to record people where that is not allowed, or to copy, change or resell the app.

Our responsibility to you

We work hard to keep the app reliable, but we cannot promise it will always work without faults. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses you could not reasonably expect, or for loss of data you could have backed up or exported. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit. Your rights as a consumer are not affected.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and mention it in the release notes.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
